Music moves the soul. Music has the power to uplift and heal. Music can motivate and inspire. Music is super powerful. That is the bottom line of what I’m trying to say. While tastes vary, you can be certain that there is a song for everyone. I have yet to meet the person who doesn’t like music.

So, it is only fitting then that you absolutely must have a music playlist to keep you motivated and inspired on this road to reaching your goals. Sometimes it’s just a line in a song that grabs you, not even the whole song. It can give you that spark to get your creative juices flowing or the power surge to not give up when you feel like it.
I remember in my first year at university I was battling to adjust academically in my first semester. I failed one or two of my subjects, but at that time Aaliyah came out with a song called “If at first, you don’t succeed”. That song carried me through that year because it was the first time I had ever failed anything academically. At times I would feel so despondent, but the lyrics of that song just gave me so much hope and the strength and motivation to push through. “If at first, you don’t succeed, you dust yourself off and try again, you can dust it off and try again..” The rest of the lyrics were not relevant to my situation, but just that line was enough to get me through. That’s the beauty and power of music. Just a piece of it can inspire you.
